Travel Physical Therapist - Boston Area, MA 

Client in the Boston area of Massachusetts seeking Physical Therapist for the following shift(s): Days 

We are looking for a healthcare professional who is ready to provide exceptional patient care in this contract/travel role. Contract/travel assignments are typically 13 weeks, with potential to extend. 

The Physical Therapist will evaluate and treat patients to help improve mobility, strength, balance, coordination, and overall functional independence. This role may include working with patients recovering from illness, injury, surgery, hospitalization, or age-related decline. 

Responsibilities may include: 

• Evaluating patients' physical abilities, mobility, strength, balance, range of motion, and functional limitations  

• Developing individualized treatment plans based on patient needs, goals, and physician recommendations  

• Providing therapeutic exercises, gait training, transfer training, balance activities, and mobility interventions  

• Helping patients improve independence with walking, standing, transferring, and other daily functional activities  

• Educating patients, families, and caregivers on safe mobility techniques, exercises, fall prevention, and use of assistive devices  

• Monitoring patient progress and adjusting treatment plans as needed  

• Documenting evaluations, treatment sessions, progress notes, and discharge recommendations according to facility standards  

• Collaborating with physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, speech therapists, case managers, and other care team members  

• Supporting safe discharge planning and helping patients achieve the highest possible level of function
